Good morning Crafters!
It's been a busy week around here!
We are planning for Nathan's first birthday. I can't believe my little fussy bucket is going to be one! It sure went by fast. I also started school this week so that's been a bit overwhelming and work has been super busy.
How did I handle it all you ask? I procrastinated until the last minute and made cards :)
We all have to keep our sanity here people.
Over at CASology the cue card this week is Splash.
I immediately thought of the most adorable little stamp my friend Christine sent me. She drew it herself. Aren't you impressed? I sure am! I can't draw at all. In fact, I'm lucky I can write my own name.
I started with this precious little beaver. Why? Because beavers damn water = splash :)
I printed him out twice. I cut one apart and just cut the other out. I colored him with distress inks but before piecing him back together I stamped just his tail with Hero Arts Tiny Triangles background. in wet cement shadow ink. Both of those items are available through A2Zscrapbooking and their shipping is super fast :) I added some enamel accents in black and white for his nose, eyes, and teeth.
For the background panel I used a die cut from Simon Says Stamp and inked it up with even more distress ink before flicking some water on it, more splashing! The sentiment was printed out and a the inside of letters were colored in for a highlight.
Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to grab a nap before celebrating my sister's birthday tonight :) I love family time!
