Good morning Crafters!
I hope your weekend was lovely. I was able to spend a little bit of time visiting with my family yesterday and that is always wonderful for me. I don't get to see them nearly as often as I would like.
Today I'm going to get to spend a little more time with my husband uninterrupted :) I had applied for a new job a few months ago and they recently called me for the next phase of the process. This involves me driving about two and half hours to their headquarters to take a dispatch simulation test. I hope I score well enough to move on because according to the agency I currently work for we could all be looking for jobs by October! Scary stuff here people.
On a happier note I did find some time to craft this weekend. Today's card is using the current sketch over at Cas(e) This Sketch. I fell in love with this thing the moment I saw it! I'm sure I'll use it plenty more in the future :)
Here is my take.
I started by printing Bugaboo's Flower Pocket 7 on my card base. If you've never used their images I encourage you to check them out. I always love their stamps and digital stamps are so handy (and cheap) when you're just looking for something new :) They have seven of these pockets with all different flowers, yum! I splattered some chipped sapphire onto the card base for a fun little background.
I printed it out a second time so I could cut it apart and color it. I colored the images using several distress inks and then pieced it back together on my card front. I added a few dots of black enamel accents to the card base but no stickles! What?! No stickles?! I know but I felt like the splatter made it interesting enough :)
To complete the card I stamped my sentiment in the lower right hand corner. It's from the Hero Arts set of the same name. The entire "You're so Kind" set has such good sentiments. I'm a sucker for a well rounded sentiment set! If you'd like it's currently in stock over at A2Z Scrapbooking.
Thanks for dropping by! Keep me in your prayers for this test. I'm going to need it :)
